🐾Meet Birdie🐾
Birdie is a friendly and lovable gal! Birdie wakes up ready to play! She loves toys and playing fetch. She would do best with someone that is active to give her the exercise or playtime she needs or a dog that matches her energy. She is still learning boundaries with other dogs when they don’t feel like playing and sometimes needs a “timeout” to chill and bring her energy level back down. She loves to snuggle up with her person and would really love to sleep in the bed with you if you’d allow it. Does fairly well on leash especially with another dog she follows your rhythm. She’s a bit excited in the car at first (lock your windows) but settles down after a few minutes. Is doing well with going potty outside as long as she gets bathroom breaks every 3-4 hours. She’s a very curious girl that likes to get into things so will need someone who is very diligent about keeping harmful things out of reach. She also can jump very high over things so a tall gate would be needed to keep her separated or out of an area. She is a really great girl and does know commands like sit and lay down already, and with the right training could definitely learn more. I think kids over age 6 or seven would probably be best just because of her high energy and jumping in excitement would maybe knock down a little one and she’s very strong.
She does have an off switch, though it doesn’t seem like it at times she will have her moments or she will just relax on the couch or on a bed. But people really do need to know she is very high energy.
