Imperial Shih Tzu - Male
Approx. 7 years old
Hello to you all who love the sweet little pushed in face dogs. My name is REGGIE and I am a 7 yr old boy of very petite size. The experts think I’m an “imperial” shih tzu. I tip the scales at a whopping 7.6 lbs., yes, you read that right, a little over 7 ½ pounds! You ladies could carry me in a large purse! I could go with you everywhere and no one will notice. I’m a quiet little guy. I’m a bit shy, and timid, at this point in my life because I was I skinny stray. I’m just learning that it’s o.k. to eat all I am given, sleep in a crate at night without complaint, and I even am learning how to take walks with my roommates.
The best home for me might be free of big dogs, little kids, and fragile- of-foot seniors. Since I’m so fragile myself I don’t want to get hurt if someone trips on me. I would be in need of a grooming visit on a regular basis, so think about that need I have. As you can see in my picture I have a cataract in one eye, but I can still see out of the other.
I get along with my roommates here in the foster home, but they are all small and don’t bully me around. I’ve also learned the doggy door, but am not sure exactly why I need to go outside through it. You mean I am supposed to go potty while I’m out and not in? There are so many things to learn!
Now that I have you smiling it just might be a good time to apply for me. It’s been told that we small dogs have long lives and I want to spend the rest of my time with you.
Don’t forget my name: It’s REGGIE!
Please contact AZ Pug Life Rescue if you would like to meet me. Thank you!
